Inflation


According to Stats Canada, inflation numbers for July are 1.3% compared to 1.2% for June of this year. Food prices posted their smallest gain in more than 3 years, yeah! Transportation costs rose sharply! Compared with last July, we paid more for gasoline, 6.1% more!

No Wet Basement For YOU!


The grading of your residential lot will prevent wet basement issues for you if you slope the land away from your basement foundation. Over time the land settles and shifts and usually toward that big hole in the ground that you have dug to build your house on!

Your land should slope away from the house for about 8 feet.

Check to see if you have a backflow prevention valve on your sewer line.

Clean the eavestrough regularly.

Downspouts should be about 6 feet long, in the down position to drain the water away from the foundation.

Keep debris out of window wells.
